발표Adaptive General Intelligence for the Physical World

One of the key transitions in language models was from models with largely static capabilities to systems like ChatGPT that could adapt their behavior from context interpreting instructions, demonstrations, and feedback at inference time. In this talk, I will argue that a similar transition is necessary for physical AI.
I will first present S1, Skild's latest robotics foundation model that uses large-scale pretraining and in-context learning to acquire new behaviors from demonstrations without updating its weights. I will discuss how this capability scales, particularly for long-horizon and out-of-distribution tasks. I will then focus on how S1 is accelerating deployments helping us create the missing data flywheel for robotics: a general model is deployed across many robots and environments, real-world failures and experience generate new training data, and that data improves the next generation of the general model.
Together, in-context learning and deployment at scale provide a path toward adaptive general intelligence for the physical world: robot brains that can learn new tasks quickly, generalize broadly, and continuously improve through real-world interaction.
